Hopedale Labrador resident Ross Flowers says he has never been in a kayak, but he knows how to build one out of sealskin. Flowers and his family have returned to a traditional Inuit-style of kayak building that involves using sealskin. It has taken over a year to make and the locals say it has been many years since they last saw one like this made locally.
