The Home from The Sea campaign breaks ground today on the site of the future Sealers Memorial Interpretation Centre in Elliston, Trinity Bay. The ceremony, signifying the start of a former schoolhouse’s transformation into the Centre, is being attended by the Honourable John C. Crosbie, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador; the Honourable Peter Penashue, Regional Minister for Newfoundland and Labrador, Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and President of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada; as well as the Honourable Kathy Dunderdale, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador.
