Local CBC journalist Kenny Sharpe dropped into Wesley United Church here in St. John’s to witness a 300 Flipper Pie mega serving this past May, cooked and prepared by a large crew of volunteers. It was served at $20 a ticket over two nights and was possibly the largest seal dinner offering in one place at one time ever. Wesley United Church avails of the money raised by this event to help the Fall Fair Committee organize events in the coming months.
