UPDATED: CSA News, (Original article: November 11, 2013)  Today a new fine dining restaurant Mallard Cottage, a former 18th century “Irish-Newfoundland vernacular style cottage”   has opened in scenic tourist attraction Quidi Vidi fishing village in St. John’s. Here you can sample some of the finest dishes and methods made with seal meat by top chef Newfoundlander Todd Perrin. Mallard Cottage is “recognized as a National Historic Site of Canada, as being one of the oldest wooden buildings in North America”.
