March 21, 2012. The Department of Fisheries and Oceans has set the Total Allowable Catch for the 2012 season for Harp Seals.
Total Allowable Catches and Sharing Arrangements for the Hooded Seal TAC for 2012 is rolled over from 2011. The total TAC is 8200.
The total allowable catch for Harp Seals for the 2012 season has been set at 400,000. This includes a 20,000 developmental quota and a carry-over of 20% for commercial fleets. To read more click here
