Updated: Sealer Information Workshops – Locations and Schedule
The Professional Fish Harvesters Certification Board (PFHCB), acting on a mandate and support from sealing industry stakeholders (Canadian Sealers Association (CSA), FIC, Fish Food & Allied Workers Union (FFAW), NL Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture (DFA), DFO, Canadian Council of Professional Fish Harvesters (CCPFH), and Dr. Pierre-Yves Daoust of the Atlantic Veterinary College & IVWG), will continue the work of delivering a half-day Humane Harvesting of Seals training workshop to Newfoundland and Labrador sealers.
18 information workshops will be held between March 21th and 28th, in major sealing areas throughout the province. Each session will be between 9.00 AM and 12.00 noon. (Frank Pinhorn, CSA director, will be attending the locations in bold)
