Dion Dakins of Carino Processing Ltd. recently gave an interview to the Globe and Mail newspaper about the healthy and beneficial dietary virtues of consuming sealmeat on the heels of a presentation he and other’s, including the Canadian Sealers Association president Eldred Woodford, gave at a panel discussion at this year’s Terroir 2017 culinary summit in late May in Toronto.
Mr. Dakins told the paper he believes hunting seal is not only sustainable, but based on best practices that echo humane hunting methods and is also a necessary fisheries ecomanagement tool. Read the interview in full here:
